A STUDENT FROM THE FRENCH HIGH SCHOOL WAS A GUEST AT A MEETING BETWEEN MINISTER GALIN TSOKOV AND THE AMBASSADOR OF NORTH MACEDONIA

The strengthening of cooperation between higher schools and scientific organizations, as well as the inclusion in priority initiatives for the EU, such as the European university alliances. These were some of the topics discussed during the meeting between the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tsokov and the ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia in our country H.E. Agnesa Russi Popovska.

Prof. Genka Petrova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science also took part in the conversation. A special guest at the Ministry of Education and Science was Dorina Ivancheva, a 12th V grade student in 9-th French Language School Alphonse de Lamartine. SHE IS among the winners of the MFA essay competition “Ambassador for a Day” and as part of the initiative she had the opportunity to participate in a diplomatic meeting.

During the conversation, the policies aimed at students and doctoral students from North Macedonia were discussed. The joint scientific projects of scientists from BAS and the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts were also noted, including those financed by the “Scientific Research” fund of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as by the “Horizon 2020” Framework Programme. Both countries united around the need to deepen and upgrade bilateral educational and scientific relations within the framework of the signed Programme in the field of education and science between Bulgaria and North Macedonia for the period 2022-2025.

The meeting was also attended by Peyka Trayanovska, adviser to Ambassador Popovska, the head of the office of the Minister of Education and Science Nataliya Michalevska and experts from the MES.
