On the occasion of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Literature, celebrated on May 24th the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria with the support of the Council library and Mr. Sveloslav Malinov, Member of the European Parliament, is delighted to invite you to a roundtable discussion Multilingualism – United in Diversity.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 22 May 2018 at 15h at the Library of the LEX building of the Council of the European Union in Brussels.
The event will be opened by Denitsa Sacheva. Deputy-Minister of Education and Science of Bulgaria.
Participants and audience will discuss how languages define personal identities but are also part of a shared heritage. How they can serve as a bridge to other people and open access to other countries and cultures, promoting mutual understanding.
The event will showcase different successful multilingualism practices and how they can improve the life chances of citizens: all these through the eyes of renowned Bulgarian and international writers and translators, publishers and lecturers.
