Over 300 students from Veliko Tarnovo participated in a celebration entitled “Kaleidoscope of Dreams”, organized by the Regional Department of Education – Veliko Tarnovo under the National Programme of the Ministry of Education and Science “Together in Arts and Sports”. The performances were hosted by the largest school in the region, Secondary School “Emilian Stanev”.
The start was given with a sports festival and demonstration performances by 7 teams in handball, football and basketball. Each team had about 20 minutes to show off their sportsmanship. The athletes were supported by cheerleaders of Elementary School “Bacho Kiro” and a performance by the “Zumba Chika” dance group of Staroprestol Vocational High School of Economics “Dr. Petar Aladjov”, also formed under the programme of the Ministry of Education and Science “Together in the Arts and in Sports”. The hosts showed their skills in volleyball and handball with leaders Anelia Nikolova and Zvezdelin Yonchev
At the same time, in the assembly hall of the school, talented dancers and singers turned the celebration into a true colorful kaleidoscope. The groups presented live instrumental and vocal performances, folk dances and choruses, Asian dances and ballet. In the arts, the hosts performed with three groups – “Ballet” led by Ralitsa Nikolova, “Mosaic” with Margarita Rachkova, and “Vocal performances” with the school group Emoji Kids led by Maya Vivid and Irena Traikova.
Extremely attractive were the five studios from the “Applied and Fine Arts” direction, located in the lobby in front of the assembly hall, which were also part of the festive concert. There was an “Art Workshop” at the Secondary School “Vladimir Komarov” headed by Lazarinka Gancheva, where skills in painting on silk were demonstrated. The workshop “Spring Magic” of Vocational High School for Construction, Architecture and Geodesy “Angel Popov” was also presented, headed by Eng. Zorinka Pophristova, specialized in making art arrangements from eco-materials – Scandinavian moss, flowers, wood. In the “Vela Art” studio at the Secondary School “Vela Blagoeva”, headed by Daniel Terziev, they painted canvases and watercolor cardboard. In the “Ceramics” studio of Primary School “P. R. Slaveykov” headed by Gergana Penova for the production of the traditional for the region Tarnovska graffiti ceramics. The students in the “Fine Art” studio at the Primary School “St. Patriarch Euthymius” headed by Yoanna Maneva showed various drawing techniques – graphics, painting, linocut, watercolor, made a sketch of a human figure, etc. Each of the visitors has the opportunity to get involved in the activity of the studio, making his/her creation under the object around the small works.
All participants received certificates with the specially created “Kaleidoscope of Dreams” logo and wishing everyone to follow their dreams so persistently.
The celebration was honored by representatives of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgarian Union of Teachers – Veliko Tarnovo, an experts from the Regional Department of Education, principals and teachers from the city of Veliko Tarnovo, etc.
