The government approved BGN 93,163,066 for the purchase of educational books, textbooks, e-readable textbooks, study sets and study aids for children and students from I to XII grades in municipal kindergartens and schools for the year 2024.
For the first time, free textbooks are also provided for the students of grade VIII to XII. Until now, students from I to VII grades received such. Thus, for the next academic year, all students from I to XII grades will receive free textbooks and study sets for general education subjects.
Funds will also be allocated for braille textbooks for the visually impaired students from I to XII grades, as well as for the purchase of study sets for the special subjects for the hearing impaired students.
The funds will be distributed based on the number of children and students in it, submitted by the National Electronic Information System for preschool and school education as of February 2024.
