The Ministry of Education and Science started the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), which is a quality management tool, developed specifically for the public sector at the initiative of the European Network of Public administration. The main purpose is to improve the efficiency at all management levels and processes in the administration.
A special attention is paid in the Public Administration Development Strategy 2014-2020 to the need for widespread implementation of the quality management systems. The common assessment framework is precisely such a tool that allows for the improvement of the organization. It is especially designed for the needs of the public administration. The CAF model is based on a self-assessment of the institution.
