AT THE AGE OF 22 NEVENA BECAME A TEACHER TO STUDENTS FROM HER HIGH SCHOOL

Nevena Terzieva, a student from the National Financial and Economic High School became the head of a department in a large retail chain and a teacher of dual education students at the high school she graduated from.

The 22-year-old girl began her internship at the company as a student in the Commerce class with dual education. In the 11th grade, she works two days a week, and as a high school senior – three. “It’s been very good to work with the team right from the start. They watched me and appreciated my skills,” says Nevena.

She remains with the company and is now head of the Fruit and Vegetable Department. In addition, I am appointed as a teacher for Eva and Hristo, who also study at the National Financial and Economic High School, the “Commerce” class. Nevena hopes they will also stay with the company.

For Eva and Hristo, the benefits of the dual training are that you get a working stage even as students and gain experience in a real working environment.

Data from the retail chain shows that 20% of students who have worked with them remain permanently, and the high school management advises more employers to take advantage of this training.

There are five classes with dual training at the National Financial and Economic High School with the participation of 7 companies. It is envisaged that they will be increased. The high school received funds for teachers, work clothes, equipment and a trial internship under the project “Support for the dual education system” of the Operational Programme “Science and Education for Smart Growth”.
